Dynamite Explodes Under Streetcar

PHOENIX, June 28. (UP)—Discovery of a full stick of dynamite on a Phoenix streetcar line caused detectives to intensify their investigation today into two explosions, at first believed caused by pranksters.

The dynamite was found by A. J. Robertson, whose car was jarred Friday night by an explosion under its wheels.

Last night, he said, he kept a sharp watch on the track and saw something on the rails ahead. He braked the car quickly, but was unable to stop before the front wheels passed over and flattened the dynamite.
