The taking of testimony in the water works case was finished this forenoon and counsel engaged at noon in arguing the case before the jury.
Judge T. W. Brown, for the prosecution, led, followed by General L. E. Wright, who spoke at noon. He is to be followed by Colonel George Gantt and Attorney General Turner will close. The case will be given to the jury by 3 o'clock.
Surmises as to the result are freely indulged in, both favorable and unfavorable to the defense. The Attorney General is sure that he has established the fact that the Water Company is a nuisance, and if the jury does not convict, why that is not his fault.
