Half Normal Vote Being Cast on Adoption of Commission Form of Government in Davenport.
It is estimated that about half the normal vote is being polled on the question of adopting the commission form of government at the election in Davenport today. The east end of the city is conceded to be favorable but the west end with the German strongholds are against it. The outcome is in doubt. A bare majority of the votes cast is all that is necessary for the project to carry. If it is approved the change will take place in the spring, the election of new officers being held at the usual time in April.
