The following clipping from the Casper Record of last week will be of interest to many Rawlins people. Miss Edith Ogburn is a sister of Bert Ogburn of this city and she herself is quite well known here.
"At a meeting of the board of County Commissioners on Saturday morning at which all commissioners were present Miss Edith Ogburn was appointed to succeed the late Frank H. Sawyer as county clerk of this county. The appointment is very gratifying to all who know Miss Ogburn and is regarded as recognition of her loyalty to Mr. Sawyer and her efficiency in the office, where she has served as deputy for nearly six years.
Miss Ogburn was born in Indianaola, Iowa, and came to Wyoming seventeen years ago. She is the daughter of Mrs. Ruth Ogburn and a sister of Mrs. J. A. Pettingill. She has a host of friends here who are greatly pleased with her promotion."
