EVEN IN RHODE ISLAND
According to a dispatch from Providence, Rhode Island, carrying a dateline of April 23, all bills relating to the repeal or modification of the Rhode Island state enforcement code which the wets had succeeded in introducing into the legislature, died in committee. Thus, another state, and one which is usually considered a stronghold of the wets, at that, has signified that it intends to continue to cooperate with the federal government in this matter of prohibition enforcement.
