Oath Before Supreme
Court To Be Lawyer

At Phoenix before the supreme court, yesterday, Mrs. Laura Gilmore, wife of Attorney W. G. Gilmore, became a full fledged lawyer by taking the oath of an attorney at law before the supreme court.

Mrs. Gilmore passed the state bar examination in May and the appearance before the supreme court yesterday was the concluding step to make her a member of the state bar.

Mrs. Gilmore graduated this year from the law department of Vanderbilt university at Nashville, Tenn. She was the only woman to pass the state bar examination only 26 persons passing out of 73 taking the test. She is the first woman lawyer ever to be located in Cochise county. She will have her offices with her husband in the First National Bank building.
