Full Text

We have received the first number of the "Morning Courier," a newspaper published in Providence by Wm. G. Larned and printed by Knowles, Vose & Co.

A cursory examination of its contents and execution impresses us very favorably in regard to the talents and ability of its editor and also to the efficiency of the gentlemen under whose supervision the mechanical department is conducted. It is published daily and from the appearance of the only number yet published bids fair to sustain a very respectable standing. We sincerely hope it may receive an abundant share of public patronage.

Will the editor of the Daily Courier be good enough to send us his paper daily in exchange. The very obliging leather-heads of the Journal refuse to exchange on any terms,—and after abusing us through the columns of their filthy vehicle, as we learn, they preclude us from replying by refusing to send us their paper, containing attacks upon ours.
