A CAUTION TO OUR PARTY.

ALtho' zeal, in a good cause, is ever to be recommended; and altho' it has been a predetermination, of long standing, to abuse every thing done by Mr. Jay, would it not be advisable to reserve part of our fire, till we know, in reality, whether a Treaty is concluded or not? At present there is a rumor only of the fact, which if not founded, the two late discharges in the Aurora may prove to be a meer waste of ammunition, and excite only the derision of our enemies.
