Juniors and Seniors Elect Class Officers—Name "Pep" Staff
MANY FRESHMEN ENROLL

Schutt Editor of "Pep"
Enrollment in the high school has reached a total of 392 students, the largest number ever entering in the first month of the school year according to official announcements.
The freshman class totals 127, last year it reached 120 but only a few attended regularly. This gives a 20 per cent increase in the freshman class this year over last.
The sophomore class numbers 83, the juniors 99, and the seniors 83.
Supt. Saxvik stated that classes at the high school were more crowded than ever before and that many of the teachers had taken extra classes.
He said that he did not know how the increase in students in the mid-year would be handled. For already the enrollment has been increased by more than 50 students than ever before.
About 25 per cent of the high school students this year come in from the country. The proportion of students from the country in comparison with the number from the city is largest in the junior class where 31 of the 99 students, or approximately 33 1-3 per cent come from the country. About 25 per cent of the freshman and sophomore students are from the country while only 7 per cent of the senior are from the country.
The members of the junior and senior classes have begun arranging for their activities of the coming season by the election of their class officers.
The officers elected for the junior and senior classes include the following persons:
Junior officers:
Edgar Scott, president; Rosemary Lomas, vice president; George Knowles, secretary; Wyman Glitschka, treasurer;
John Russ, junior editor of "Pep."
Senior officers: Terrence Halloran, president; Emily Olson, vice president; Norma Hollinsworth, secretary; Donald Jones, treasurer.
The names of the students elected to positions on the staff of "Pep" read as follows:
Executive board: Denman Schutt, editor-in-chief; Jack Burke, asst. editor-in-chief; Donald Jones, literary editor; Alice Strutz, exchange editor; Bruce Murphy, business; Paul Goddard, advertising manager.
Associate editors: Frances Wanner, athletic; Terrence Halloran, athletics; William Ankenmann, humor; Helen Gross, society; Kathleen Harris, subscription manager; Given Welch, alumni.
Stenographers:
Esther Katz and Norma Hollensworth.
Neither of the lower classes have elected any officers.
