Another Fleet.—An inventory of another fleet for operations on the Western waters is given by the Chicago Tribune. It states that six gunboats are being constructed at the Carondelet navy yard, below St. Louis—the Osage, Neosho, Winnebago, Chickasaw and Kickapoo. Two of these, which are being constructed on the plan of the Monitor, are nearly completed. They have one turret each, and will mount two eleven-inch Dahlgren guns. The others are much larger, and have each two turrets. The boats are of solid iron throughout. Four hundred men are at work upon them. The first two draw three and half feet of water. The others six feet.
