BOARD AND LODGING.—An Old miner was recently threatened with a law suit against him, in Virginia city, for board, at the rate of $15 per week; he being willing to pay $11 per week for the six weeks due. Landlord threatening to extort at the law's mouth. Old miner gathered a lot of witnesses, now working in Gold Hill, who would swear to having better board and lodging for $10 per week than "Old miner" offered to pay $11 for. Landlord relented, and came down for $11, when he had to take $10. Ten jumps.
