PHILADELPHIA, June 8.

Among the reports in the English papers, are the following: That Mentz was taken. That General Custine was a prisoner to the combined forces. That an account had been received of an insurrection in Paris. That the Austrians were within a few hours march of Dunkirk. That Generals Miranda, Wimpfen, Stingen and Lanoue, had been decapitated in Paris. The papers further state, that in January last 20,000l. stock was purchased in the English funds for Dumourier.

By a vessel arrived here from Bristol yesterday, last from Milford in England, an account is received of Dumourier's being confined by the Austrians.

Martinsburg, June 17.

European accounts to the 19th of April, received by the ship William, Capt. Anderson, arrived at New-York from Liverpool, further state, That 30,000 persons were lately massacred at Paris; this is said to have been received at Harwich on the 14th April, by the packet from Helvoetsluys, after the post. That the Diet of Ratislon had determined, that a war between the whole German Empire and France shall be declared immediately. That the Spanish order for expelling the French from Cadiz had been executed, above 100 of whom were sent off, some of them men of opulence, and great traders. That it was supposed Spain would soon have 120,000 men on their frontiers. That war had absolutely been declared at Lisbon against France, and the ambassador, who had arrived from France, obliged to fly for his life, under a guard, to the frontiers, to save him from popular rage. That the Swedes had armed a fleet of 16 sail, including 7 frigates, which is said to be destined to a junction with 25 sail of Russian ships in the Baltic. That Dantzick is still blockaded by the Prussians, and imminently expected to surrender; a capitulation was on foot, and partly agreed to by the magistrates. That Dumourier had purchased, in the English funds, stock to the amount of 50,000l. sterling, in January; this is vouched as a fact, and had caused much conjecture. That the Austrians were on their march to Dunkirk, which the French were said to have abandoned. That they had given Dumourier a command. Two letters of Dumourier's appear, of April 1 and 2, couched inecrasy terms one to Gen. Miazinsky, and the other to the administrators at and near Calais. He informs the first of the measures he has taken, and directs him to head his faithful men and go against Lille, seize the military chest, &c. The other, that he wishes for the constitution of 1791, and advises them to stir up the people in favour of their father and protector, who has been so ill treated, &c. Another proclamation of his also appears, directed to the French nation, in which he informs of his having been deceived by the army, swearing for himself and those with him, that he will not lay down his arms until he effects his enterprize! That General Colli had defeated the French at Nizza, taken all their baggage, and that Biron, their General, was wounded, supposed mortally. That the Prussians had made themselves masters of Spires, a large Imperial city on the Rhine. And that the combined armies had taken General Custine prisoner.

It is mentioned in a late London paper, that the three generals, Miranda, Wimpfen, and Miazinsky, that were under arrest at Paris, have been condemned by the revolutionary tribunal, and executed.
