Editors Intelligencer:
How happens it that the voters of Clay township; after expressing in convention their preference for certain parties to fill important positions, are to have their expression thwarted, if possible, by an irresponsible clique? In other words, how is it that, after said convention had expressed a preference for Dr. J. O. Hupp for Supervisor, and Messrs. Bodley and Hildreth for School Commissioners, certain parties, who took an active part in the convention, have undertaken to say that the people blundered in making these nominations and offer other names, and even one of their number, in their stead? Let the voters of Clay township stamp their disapprobation at the polls upon such a proceeding.
