Board Also Plans To Renew Notes; Transfer General Fund Money
Several rebates were allowed, decision was reached to renew maturing notes and transfer of money from the county's general fund to other funds to meet obligations was authorized by the Vance Board of County Commissioners at their meeting yesterday.
The First National Bank was allowed to list its banking house at a valuation of $60,000, the figure at which it was placed by the comptroller of the currency when the bank opened last year, and which is a considerable drop from the former value.
H. L. Allen was granted a $1,425 cut in valuation of his property in South Henderson on account of disposing of a portion of his holdings there.
It was decided to renew a note maturing April 27 for $10,047 and to renew all or as much as is necessary of a note due May 18 for $13,000.
Available money in the general fund not required there is to be transferred to other county funds to meet expenditures in excess of budget figures during the current fiscal year.
