Captain Assumes Spotter Command

Captain Evans Pillsbury this week assumed his duties as head of the Ground Observation corps of the Fourth Fighter Command in Imperial and San Diego counties. He took the place left vacant when Captain J. E. Droege was transferred to the westside filter center in Los Angeles. Captain Pillsbury visited Imperial county this week. Still another newcomer in the Ground Observation corps personnel in Imperial county is Staff Sgt B. W. Rockwell, who is assisting Sgt. Gordon Forrester in inspecting observation posts and looking after other duties in connection with the air raid warning service.
