—The New York & New England road had a force of fifty or sixty men at work Sunday, in the depot yard, changing tracks, etc. A gang of bridge repairers were also engaged in leveling up the bridge on the Providence branch. The old New York and New England car-house has been moved several feet north, and is being converted into a freight depot, while the H. P. & F. R. R. freight building is to be moved east on a line with Depot street, and will be used for a freight office. The first train over the road by the new time schedule, was the Boston and Washington express, which passed through here at 9:15 last evening, and was made of a sleeper, two passenger and a baggage car. The road from this village to Providence is now a branch, no trains going through from Hartford, but passengers changing cars here.
