ALLOTMENTS AT PARIS.

Ex-Governor McCormick, the United States Commissioner-General to the Paris Exposition, returned to this city last evening from Washington, and until a late hour was busy with his deputies in their office in the Post Office building. He said that everything connected with the work was going forward favorably. The list of States could not be made public yet, as a number of the allotments for space to exhibitors from the United States had not as yet accepted the provision made for them. Without doubt, however, this list would be ready within a few days.
