Liquor Cases In Essex County. The Salem Observer contains a list of several cases in which the liquor law has been rigidly enforced by Judge Perkins, of the Common Pleas Court. In one case, John Robinson, of Gloucester, who was called as a witness, pretended that he could not remember that he had ever bought liquor of the defendant, or that he testified in the case before the Justice.—It appeared so plain to the Court that he was committing perjury, that the Court ordered him to find bail in the sum of $1000 to answer to that charge.
