Saturday last ended the October Term of the Supreme Court of this Colony, during which the followings Persons received Trials, viz.

Elizabeth Dent, for picking a Pocket-Book out of a Man's Pocket in the publick Market, with Bills of Credit in it to the Value of £3 12s and Elizabeth Floyd, for stealing wearing Apparel: Both found guilty and sentenced to be hanged on Friday the 25th of this Instant.

William Herring alias Johnston, Richard Hutchinson and Thomas Mason, a Boy of about 12 Years old, for Burglary, all three found guilty, and were burnt in the Hand.

John Dominy, for attempting a Rape on the Body of a Girl of about eight Year old: found guilty, and sentenced to receive 39 Lashes at a Cart's Tail, round the City, on Monday last, which was accordingly executed; and he is to receive the same Number on Saturday next, and the same on the Saturday following and to suffer three Month's Imprisonment.
