A letter received at Merchants' Hall, from New-York, mentions the arrival there of a vessel in 35 days from Gibraltar, by which it was understood that the political affairs in Spain remained in an undisturbed state; and it was supposed they would continue so till the meeting of the Cortes, which would take place the beginning of July. That period was looked to with much interest and anxiety, as the commencement of a new order of things, which would produce to a thorough destruction of the old system.
