The Gardiner Trial.

WASHINGTON, May 19.—Mr. Fendall resumed his argument this morning, on the 4th proposition, that Dr. Gardiner had no mines in Laguinnillas. He reviewed the testimony contending that it proved all the title deeds, depositions &c. to be forgeries, and that on each of the four grounds the defendant was found to be guilty. The hour of adjournment arrived before Mr. Fendall had concluded. He will probably finish in the morning, and will be followed by Messrs. Carlisle and Bradley for the defence, and Mr. May, who will close for the prosecution.
