Full Text

New Richmond, Wis.—Conductor Casey, of the Omaha way freight No. 68, is minus about $40 worth of clothes and a suit case, and a bicycle is missed by a Roller mill employe, thanks to the talents of an unknown light-finger and quickfoot who helped himself to these articles Wednesday morning June 27.

About ten o'clock Wednesday forenoon, when No. 68 had about reached Stanton, Conductor Casey missed his suit case containing clothes to the value of about $40. He started to walk back to the city, expecting that he would encounter the thief, who would, he thought, be making for the country via the tracks. He failed to find any trace of the culprit or the clothes, and so gave in the alarm. Constable Larry Martin and Mr. Casey started out within a few hours, driving north of town.
