Miss Clara Grimshaw is spending a week in Ludlow, Vt.
Mrs. Mercy Barber has been home for a few days from Providence, R. I.
Mrs. Herbert G. Richards is entertaining Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson of Norfolk.
George Harriman of Haverhill, Mass., is the guest of his brother, Albert Harriman.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto May have returned to their home after spending two weeks at Mrs. May's old home in Maine.
Arthur E. Douglas has cotton plants in full bloom in his garden and hopes that by giving them protection from early frosts he may get a few bolls of cotton.
Mrs. H. M. Lee and son David of Lansing, Mich., are returning to their home tomorrow, after spending the summer with Mrs. Lee's mother, Mrs. Albert Walker.
Miss Nellie Wells is spending the week-end in New York.
Arline and Lucile Condon are visiting at the home of D. I. Goodale.
Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Muccio have returned from a visit to Niantic.
Mrs. Mary Ashley from Lyme is visiting her sister, Miss Hattie Hunt.
Mr. and Mrs. Hector Chapman expect to spend over Labor Day at Hawk's Nest.
Mrs. H. E. Samson has been entertaining Edward K. Samson and family of Waterbury.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Leach are visiting at Mr. Leach's home in Enosburg Falls, Vt.
Bradford Ripley leaves Monday for Illinois, where he will attend the University of Illinois.
Miss Caroline Bidwell spent the week-end as the guest of Miss Mable Finn in Higganum.
Miss Lillian Harris, who has been spending her vacation in Portland, Me., returned this week.
Benjamin Cooley was the week end guest at the home of his brother, Bert D. Cooley of Somers.
Mrs. W. S. Kingsbury entertained in honor of Mrs. William H. Wright of Hartford, Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. E. M. Keene and grandson, John Goodrich, have returned after a week's visit in Quonochontaug Beach, R. I.
Mrs. Raymond Hardin, Miss Annie and Miss Smithson will leave on Monday for the coast, where they will be gone for three weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. William Potter and son, William, have returned from a two weeks' visit with their parents in Orient, Long Island.
Mr. and Mrs. John Rummel, who have been occupying the parsonage for the past two months, will return to Hartford Tuesday.
Miss Betty and Honor Kingsbury, who are visiting their cousin, Mrs. Andrew Swapp, at her summer home near Lowell, will return Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Corbitt will spend Labor Day in Amherst. This will be his first vacation this summer, so he is looking forward to it very much.
Mrs. Herbert W. Hunt has been entertaining for a few days Mrs. Harry Monahan and sons of Middletown.
Mrs. Sadie Walsh and daughter, Miss Helen of Brooklyn, N. Y., have been the guests of Mrs. Eben Grant.
Miss Elizabeth Horton, who has been spending the summer in town, has returned to her home in Waterbury accompanied by her grandmother, Mrs. F. C. Covell.
