On Tuesday came Advice from Georgia, that the General Assembly of that Province had adjourned the Thursday before for 10 Days, after passing an Act for the better Settling the said Province. An Act to restrain the carrying of Provisions to St. Augustine without Licence; and also an Act for the construction of several Forts.--By the first Act, "every Person that shall arrive in Georgia at any Time during the Space of Three Years from the 1st of August next, from any Province, Island, or Country under the Dominion of the Crown of Great Britain, or subject to any other Prince or State (that Part of South-Carolina lying to the Northward of Savanna River only excepted) shall be freed, exempted, protected and discharged from all Arrets, Suits and Actions for any Debts whatsoever, for seven Years from the Time of such Person's Arrival, &c. Debts due in Great-Britain, excepted."
