MOUNT HOPE - Lower Fayette County's strongest social club met last Friday night at the residence of its president, Mrs. Laura N. Griere. The club is doubly social minded, in the sense of working for the progress of the community, and social in the sense of its members.

An annual scholarship is given some worthy student each year. The club has thirteen members. Mrs. L. N. Griere, president; Mrs. Weida Wallace, secretary; Richard Banks, treasurer; T. W. Chiles, Weldon Canada, Miss Beatrice Ferry, Richard Ferry, Earle C. Smith, Mrs. Veretta Hundley, Leon Hicklin, Thomas Ashe, and Mrs. Bertha Towne Lenoir.
