The District Meet.

Dear Reader.

No! you missed it that time: we're not going to bore you with one of those newspaper letters, but we merely wish to ask your advice on our latest problem. That is, who should enter as contestants in the district meet this year? Say, folks, please help us! We can't get the students up here to realize that they have as much talent as anybody. Of late only a few names have been added to the list of entrants, but we think they will make up and put this over—don't you? Anyway, there are a few who are going to take first place for us. Folks, we are just going to make D. H. S. a leader in this section that is, of course, with your help.

The following are a list of the names already handed in:

Essay: John McGregor, Ella Mae Hollingsworth, Vivian McClendon, and Charles Wall. Declamation: R. B. Jennings, Wilson Fitts, Roderic Lee John Shields and Guy Hamilton. Recitation: Martha Jamar, Josephine Hunt, Ruby Harris, and Florence Nasworthy. Debate: Evelyn Hill and Louise Bridges.

Now, folks, if that doesn't look like a winning bunch of boys and girls what does? And, dear reader, if you know some one whose name is not above, and who has the ability and talent on one of the subjects, you will do us an injustice if you don't get in behind them and urge them to enter, for we all know that the more who enter the better chances we will have for success.
