Chairman Will Hays Complimented Congressman on His Victory.
Congressman W. Frank James was re-elected at the polls in November by a plurality of more than 33,000 votes over Edward C. Anthony, his democratic opponent, according to official returns from the Twelfth district, received this week in Washington by Mr. James' secretary.
In Houghton county, the congressman's home, he polled nearly seven votes to his opponent's one. In other counties the figures were about the same. Marquette county gave James 9,767 and Anthony 2,700.

When returns from Michigan were received at republican national headquarters in Washington, Will H. Hays, republican national chairman, wired Congressman James as follows:
"Please let me extend my heartiest congratulations upon your splendid victory.
This is one of the times when it is worth while being an American and a republican. No one could be happier than I am over your victory."
