On motion, the following nominations were made, viz:
Jas. B. Ryan, of Center township, for Auditor.
Levi Ayres, of Center township, for Commissioner.
Foster Whitford, of Perry township, for Real Estate Appraiser.
The nominations were unanimously confirmed.
The following central county committee was appointed, viz:
Center - N. Hayden, chairman; John P. Michael, B. Vandegrift, P. Howland and John Bussey.
Pike - James H. Kennedy and John M. Vorhees.
Decatur - Merry Maguire and Jesse Price.
Perry - Dr. R. Graydon and Isaac Haverstick.
Washington - Henry Fisher and Charles Howland.
Wayne - David Stout and John Hoefgen.
Franklin - Woodford White and Dr. J. A. Ferguson.
Warren - Stephen Tyler and William Hunter.
Lawrence - Samuel Corey and Levi Bolander.
After several speeches, full of Union sentiment and of the strongest devotion to the Union and the Constitution, the convention adjourned sine die.
