York Langton president of the Minnesota United Nations Association will explain the controversial human rights charter that the United States vetoed recently in the general assembly of UN Sunday at the Minneapolis branch meeting of the NAACP that will be held at the Phyllis Wheatley house.
Langton who is a well known civic leader will outline the general program of the UN and explain the work of the Minnesota association.
Also at this meeting branch delegates that attended the Mid west Regional conference of the NAACP, held in Des Moines, April 10-12, will give their reports.
As an added feature on Sunday's program the combined choruses of the Mothersingers' from the Warrington and Bryant junior high schools will sing.
The meeting starts at four p.m. at the Phyllis Wheatley house, 809 Aldrich Ave N and the public is invited.
