Annual Reunion Held in Bridgeport Yesterday.
Bridgeport, Aug. 28.-Veterans of the Seventeenth Connecticut regiment, numbering 125, many of whom were accompanied by their wives and daughters, held their reunion here to-day in G. A. R. hall. Miss Harriet Noble and James F. Noble, daughter and son of the regiment's late commander, Colonel W. H. Noble, attended the session. The business meeting was called to order by President Edward M. Lees, of Westport.
The election of a president to succeed Major Lees resulted in the selection of Captain Wilson French, of Stratford. The other officers chosen were as follows:
Secretary-Lieutenant A. W. Peck, of Newtown.
Treasurer-George D. Phillips, of Bridgeport.
Permanent chaplain- Isaac W. Brown.
Vice-presidents-Company A, William O. Merritt; Company C, William H. Warren; Company D, George Underhill; Company E, George Hole; Company F, Stephen R. Wilcox; Company G, Comrade Brinkerhoff; Company H, Charles Seeley; Company I, Captain Henry North; Company K, Samuel Thorp.
