The Revenue bill has passed the Senate—by the casting Vote of the speaker
The Bill to confine the members of Congress to reside within their own Districts, has been lost in the Senate.
The H. of D. have acted upon all the Bills which were before them—and the Legislature will probably adjourn on some early day in the next week—
The only question before the H. of D. is the Proposition of Tennessee for limiting the period of the U. S. Senators to four years.
The H. of D. have unanimously adopted a Report calling upon the Executive to apply to the Sec'y at War for improving and enlarging Fort Powhatan, which commands the navigation of the James River.
