Sunday school met at the usual hour of 9:30 A.M. with the assistant superintendent Mr. I. B. Davis in charge. The lesson was very beautifully taught by the teachers. The Sabbath school extends a cordial welcome to all this morning.

At the hour of 11:00 A.M. the morning worship began. This being the Junior Stewards Day, they had charge of the services throughout the day. The pastor, Rev. Rome, filled the pulpit and delivered a very touching sermon.

The Stewards Board No. 1 met at the home of Mr. Austin at 5 P.M.

At the hour of 8 P.M. the Junior choir of the St. James A. M. E. church under the leadership of Mrs. E. J. Winston presented a musical program which was very good. Miss Lyda Haywood, the efficient Junior choir pianist, presided at the piano. The musical was assisted by Mrs. M. Y. Crook and Miss Carrie Beauregard. Several were present.

The Ladies Improvement Circle of which Mrs. A. T. Jones is president met at the home of Mrs. Charlie Harris on Tuesday night at 8 o'clock. A large attendance was out.

There was a series of meetings held at the church during this past week which was a success. Thanks to the visiting pastors and their congregations.

The A. C. E. League will meet at the church this afternoon at 6:30 o'clock with the president, Miss Jas. M. Carter, in charge.

Mr. George Lee of the State Teachers College, Montgomery, Ala. will address the League Class meeting every Wednesday night at 7:30 o'clock.
