Sailors' Affray—Between 11 and 12 o'clock on Saturday night two American seamen named John W. Luton and Thomas Powers went into a French sailor boarding house, No. 4 James Slip, kept by Peter Traffet, where the former got into a controversy with some French seamen relative to the matter in dispute between this country and France, which ended in a rupture in which Luton was forced into the street and received numerous severe stabs with a knife. He was carried to the City Hospital, and is in a fair way of recovering.—N. Y. Gaz.
