The Hornet.--We learn from a gentleman of intelligence who left Havana on the 16th inst., that no tidings had been received at that place of the Hornet, and that the impression was general, that she must have been lost.--This opinion is rendered still more probable, from the circumstance, that an English frigate which was cruising in the same latitude at the time of the gale, was barely saved by throwing her guns overboard.-- From all accounts, there is too much reason to apprehend that her gallant commander, officers and crew, have met with the fate of the unhappy Blakely.--[Mobile Register.
