Full Text

A number of ladies and gentlemen are indebted to the courteous accommodations afforded them by W. C. Johnson, express messenger on the C. & P. R. R., Thursday morning last. Mr. J. did all in his power to make them comfortable, and this at some labor outside of his usually onerous duties. He is a first-class little man anyhow.

Mr. C. F. Newnam, mail agent, was also very hospitable with his limited space and agreeable to all.

Capt. William Mansfield, conductor, and his corps of brakemen, discharged all their heavy labors with dispatch, and, with an eye to the comfort of the ladies, sought the pleasantest accommodations that could be obtained under the stress of a great crowd.
