BOSTON, March 27.

In a letter received in town yesterday, from Philadelphia, came the preliminary articles to be established with America when peace takes place: but they containing in substance what we gave in our last, we shall omit them this week.

It is confidently reported that a French gentleman in public office here, has received a letter from his friend in public office at Philadelphia, dated the 18th instant, informing him, that notwithstanding the flattering appearances of an immediate peace by the Gazette, yet it was in fact at a distance, and recommended that he would advise his friends to govern themselves accordingly.
