Our school is moving toward progress, our plans are maturing as we strive to make good citizens in our community.
We had a Halloween party on last October, we played games, sang songs and danced. Our refreshments consisted of ice cream, pop corn, cookies and fruit. All of us had a wonderful time.
Our Gra-Y Club presented a program to us and our officers were installed by our YMCA director, Mr. J. R. Jenkins. Our Gra-Y officers are president, Gertrude Hicks; Vice President, James Jones; Sect., Marthella Childs; Asst. Sect., Shirley Jones. Reporter: Fannie Hicks and chaplain; Mary E. Williams.
Mr. Edward Fletcher installed our P.T.A. officers. They are: President, Mr. James Jones, Vice President, Mrs. Dorethea Wright, Secty. Mrs. Ruby Steele, Treas Mrs. Leah Hargrove and chaplain, Mrs. Bertha Steele. We presented our parents with a program in memory of American Education Week. We climaxed our P.T.A. meeting with hot chocolate, pop corn, candy and cookies. Our parents admired our class rooms which were decorated with Thanksgiving friezes.
