Manchester contains, agreeably to the late census, 54,520 males and 56,496 females. Total 108,016. Since 1811, the last census, the town has increased 28,557 inhabitants. The returns from Salford, Chariton Row, Ardwick and Hulme, had not been returned. These townships belong to Manchester, and their population will make the aggregate population of Manchester upwards of 153,000 souls.
It appears from the census just taken, that the actual population of Paris in France amounts to 713,966 souls.
In taking the number of population in Limerick, Ireland, one house was found to contain ninety inhabitants.
