TOCCOA, Ga. - The Georgia Conference closed at the St. Mary CME Church, Elberton on November 20. The Bishop A. W. Womack presided. Elder Grover C. Gay of the Elberton-Atlanta district led the devotions, Rev. R. A. Lark, pastor of William Memorial CME Church delivered the communion sermon, after which an offering for the retired ministers was lifted. In the evening a welcome program was given with the host pastor, Rev. C. Neal pastor of Rose Hill Baptist Church spoke and Prof. Hall, principal of the High School. Response was made by Rev. R. B. Shorts, pastor of Butler Street CME Church, Atlanta. The appointments were read by Bishop Womack on Sunday: Rev. R. B. Shorts, presiding elder, William Atlanta district: Rev. H. H. Davis, Butler Street; Rev. F. N. Rushing, Hosley Atlanta district, presiding elder: Rev. J. A. Cornelia, Trinity CME, city and Clarkesville; Rev. Roberts, Hickory Grove and Gainesville: Rev. J. A. Counter, Commerce circuit: Rev. A. C. Crumbly, Carnesville circuit; Rev. T. J. Jackson, Linder Sr.; Rev. S. H. Harris, Hosley Temple; Rev. Fowlkes, Rev Johnson, Marietta Station and Rev. C. C. Brawner, St. John.
