Tuesday evening arrived the Nancy, Capt. M'Taggart, a letter of marque ship, who left Bristol the 8th of May last, we have not as yet received any of the London or Bristol papers, but can assure the public, from undoubted authority, that the petitions from London, Bristol, Liverpool, Lancaster, and Whitehaven, (as mentioned in one of our former papers) were actually presented, and that the conduct of Admiral Knowles, during the time of his administration in this island, has been approved by the king and parliament, and universally so by all true lovers of their country. In fine, the Admiral is at this time in the greatest esteem that ever any man was.
