SUNDAY SCHOOL PICNIC.
The Baptist annual Sunday school picnic was held at Phoenix park yesterday. About 125 children and grown folks attended and the picnic was not concluded until late in the afternoon. An elegant spread had been prepared and the picnickers assembled in the pavilion for the luncheon. The gentlemen resolved themselves into two base ball teams, one composed of married and the other of single men. After a spirited struggle, in which no one was capable of calculating the number of tallies made, the married men came out victorious. Racing, both foot and bicycle, was another feature of the extemporaneous programme.
