COLUMBIA, Miss. - The Colored Womens Federated Clubs of the Sixth Congressional District met at Marion County Training School here Friday, August 27th. Despite the handicaps in traveling there were a representative number of clubs present and the meeting was skillfully steered by its most able president, Mrs. Eva Hall Harris. The theme of the meeting was, "Building Better Human Relationship for a Better World." The discussions were very interesting and timely. Music was rendered by Miss Frisby of Columbia. Each club report showed that they had been doing excellent work during the year. The Federation was delighted to have as its guest Prof. G. W. Williams, Supt. of the Delinquent Home For Negro Youths in Mississippi. He gave information concerning the progress of the opening of the institution which club women of the state worked so hard to realize. Mrs. J. E. Johnson, the Southern Eastern Federation President, accompanied by her husband was also present. The Federation made a donation to the blind school at Pineywoods, Miss. The Club women of Columbia spared no pains in making everyone comfortable and pleasant. They served a very delicious dinner and also refreshments at the close of the meeting. Mrs. Eva Hall-Harris, of Prentiss, was re-elected President.
