DOUBLE SLAYING HAS KANSAS IN FERMENT

Kansas City, Nov. 6.-(AP)-Wading through a maze of clues which pointed first to murder and suicide and then to a double slaying, Kansas authorities today sought a former roomer in the home of Mrs. Minnie E. Hare, 50, in connection with the fatal shooting of the woman and her boarder, Jesse J. Barnwell, 65.

Bodies of the two were found yesterday in Mrs. Hare's home in Merriam, Kas., near here. Sheriff's officers said they had been dead about four days.

The house had been ransacked and a diamond ring valued at $500 was missing, but pinned in the woman's clothing was $3,765 in currency.
