THE DISTRICT COURT
Petty offenders kept Judge Utley busy yesterday morning at the session of Central District Court.
For selling fruit without a license, Dennis Spidonis was assessed $20. He paid.
Timothy Murphy was charged with larceny of $10 from his friend, Harry W. Roach. It was alleged that Murphy took a $10 bill from Roach to get change for and didn't return. A fine of $20 was ordered.
The complaint of John Yagjian, charged with assault upon George Sitovitch, was dismissed.
Frank Pilkes, who was in court for drunkenness, had a charge of larceny preferred against him and he was sent to House of Correction for four months, after he had admitted taking $40 from a Sigel Street grocer.
John J. Furey, arrested as a suspicious character, could not be connected with any of the breaks reported recently and he was discharged.
A charge of bastardy was answered by John Farrell. The complainant, Lottie Chase, consented to Farrell's discharge after a plea of not guilty.
Drunk cases were Thomas Monohan, State Farm; John Shea, Foxboro; Joseph Cofsky, Daniel Hines, Alexander Samuel, Margaret Fennessey, Hugh McManus, fined $10 each. William Anderson, probated.
