The Boston correspondent of the Worcester Transcript, in giving a glowing account of the great speech of Mr. Lord, of Salem, in the Constitutional Convention, says that during its delivery "the members sat with ears erect."
We don't see how the "eyes" and "nose" were got at.—Springfield Republican.
It is thought that the letter in the Transcript, above quoted, was written by Piper, of the Repile, who, being a good deal of a donkey, labors under the hallucination that other people are as long eared as himself.
