Full Text

London, August 1. The press by water goes on very briskly and successfully; and among other devices to ferret the lazy ones out of their lurking holes, a press-gang last week at Marygold Stairs gave the alarm of fire; when, upon the skulkers running out, they snapt them up, and carried them on board their tender.

Orders have been issued to the constables of the several parishes in and about the suburbs of this city, to be very vigilant in the execution of their offices, and to take up all vagrants, and other loose and disorderly persons, with design, as suppos'd, to send them into the service.
