Letters from Constantinople, by Way of Petersburg, bring, that the Turks seem altogether disposed to risk another Campaign; and 'tis reported that they are already in march towards Oczakow, in order to form the Siege of that Place, before the Arrival of the Russian Army in those Parts. If this should prove true, one may expect to hear of a bloody Battle at the Beginning of the Campaign.

The last Advices from Persia say, that Thamas Kouli Khan persisted in refusing to ratify the Treaty that his Embassador some Time ago concluded with the Ministers of the Porte; but that, however, he was not in a Condition of undertaking any thing against the Turks, by reason of the Troubles which continue to disturb his new Kingdom.

Letters from General Münnich bring, that the Army had actually begun its March towards Perevolochna, where is to be its general Rendezvous, and that it would be finer and more numerous this Year than the last.

They write from Oczakow, that a Capital Mine had been discovered there, which the Turks had dug, wherein were found 180 Barrels of Powder.
