SALEM, Jan. 18.

The attack mentioned under the Boston head was occasioned by the Printers of the Centinel advertising, in their paper of Saturday last, a Pamphlet to be published on the Monday following, (yesterday) entitled, "Sans Souci, alias Free and Easy; or, an Evening's Peep into a polite Circle." We hear that one or more of each side were considerably bruised; and that a judicial inquiry, respecting the matter, was to take place yesterday afternoon. The pamphlet, we understand, was published according to the advertisement, and met with a rapid sale.
