WASHINGTON CITY. April 1.
ELECTRIC RODS.
As the season of thunder and lightning is approaching, it may be useful to know, that if the points are not clean and sharp, they are of little use—if they are of Gold or Platina, they will not rust for a long time—but if of Steel or Iron, they will rust in the course of a year at least. The points may also be rendered, in a great measure useless, by being melted and blunted in the transmission of large quantities of the Electric Fluid. They should be occasionally examined.
