A Fish Story—but true.—On Saturday last, Capt. Reynolds discovered something playing in the water, near the residence of Mr. Noah Knapp, at the Head of Holly's Pond, a few rods below Noroton River Bridge, of the appearance of a monster of a fish. He called the attention of Mr. Knapp, who was near by, and, armed with an eel-spear and a boat-hook, they together made battle with this stranger in their waters. After a smart skirmish of some fifteen minutes, they got the advantage of the leviathan, by thrusting the spear between his extended jaws, and succeeded in getting him out of his native element, when lo, and behold, it proved to be a monstrous SHARK! It measured five and a half feet in length, and weighed something over one hundred pounds.
